[simpleaffiliate source="chitika" results="0"][/simpleaffiliate] Struggling for design of tattoo?
I want to design my own tattoo, something unique that no-one else has got. I'm trying to draw up some tribal designs but i simply cannot draw!! is their any computer software of anything as such out there that can aid in tattoo designs? Response to JulieisBest - I know they might be 'played out' but i can't think of anything else i would have or design that can be made unique..? I mean if i were to come up with a design on my hobbies it wouldn't be very good football, drinking, music :P not many, i understand now why these things take ALOT of thought
Everyone always says go see an artist, well that can be intimidating, so people ask on here. Isn't that what this site is for?
So, what I would do is look at a buch of sites and combine some stuff using tracing paper. A good friend of mine made his last name into a tribal design. You look at it and its like wtf dude! And then he tells the story and its kinda cool.
Computer Aided Creativity Using Gemvision's Matrix 6.3 3D Jewelry Design Software!
Correctly rendering product and structure ideas into detailed drawings is the main focus of the computer aided drafting field. The field of computer aided drafting utilizes practical software to provide the needed details and dimensions of a design. Students can obtain the educational training needed by learning how to pursue computer aided drafting degrees and enrolling in vocational colleges that offer programs.
Pursuing an education in computer aided drafting centers on completing the proper training. Students learn the fundamentals of the field as they explore the traditional and technological formats used to develop accurate and efficient designs. Different techniques and practices are discussed in order for students to understand how to draw designs for products or structures. Being able to work on designs digitally helps keep costs and time at a minimum. Employers are able to spend more time correctly modifying separate pieces of a structure rather than having to re-build a scale model several times.
To begin the process of pursuing education students should decide on what program to complete. When attending a vocational college students are able to complete certificate and associates degree programs. Each option explores the same content and prepares students to become general drafting technicians. The major difference between the programs includes the length and the coursework involved. Certificate programs typically consist of around 15 to 30 credit hours and last a couple of months. Associate degree programs take two years to complete and typically require students to finish approximately 60 credit hours. The significant difference in coursework is the general education classes required inside an associate's degree program. Students should request information from schools to see what programs are like and how they differ from one another. Making this decision enables students to continue their educational training by completing programs.
Successfully working through a training program needs to be the primary focus for all students. Without the proper training students will have a hard time obtaining careers. Certificate programs train students to work with computer aided drafting or CAD programs and generate illustrations using two and three-dimensional spaces. Students explore the steps taken to create a first draft and then make changes to specific areas of a design. This automated system allows students to focus on the details and functionality of designs. Most traditional college programs explore the industry as a whole but some allow students to work through programs focused on mechanical and electrical design. Associates degree programs teach students to produce drafting and architectural materials that will be used in structural engineering and blueprints. Both educational options have the same goal and include many of the same core topics, which may include:
Technical Math
Blueprint Reading
Civil Drafting
Mechanical Design
Students nourish a complete set of skills by completing an education. The ability to take rough ideas and turn them into blueprints establishes an understanding of how technology and computer based programs relate to CAD.
Pursuing careers inside the computer aided drafting industry begins with choosing a program to complete. Learn how to become a professional by enrolling in a vocational computer aided drafting college that is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) or other approved agency.

[simpleaffiliate source="chitika" results="0"][/simpleaffiliate] mechanical engineering drafting/CAD, i need help!?
well im trying to help my hubby with an essay for him drafting/CAD Methods class..
it says; Prepare a brief report on the benefits of using a computer-aided drafting system. then it gives me choices to focous on-- we chose mechanical engineering drafting..
then it says to discuss time savings, library creation for repeated block insertion, drawing correction and modification, software customization, drawing sharing, and electronic file transfer.
i dont know what any of those discussion topics means! i got time savings down, but the rest are like another language to me and i cant find anything online.. please help anyone? thanks
Hey Ladybug,
I've been doing CAD for awhile, and I'm familiar with some people who used to do it the old fashioned way. I guess I'll walk through these steps:
Time savings - Let's get back to this, this is a benefit because of some of these features that CAD offers.
Library creation - With CAD, you can save parts that you've made and use them over and over. Many CAD programs come with standard part libraries. So if you want to add a drawing of a particular screw, for instance, that screw can be looked up in the library and easily added. Some libraries include nuts, screws, washers, fasteners, electrical components... many kinds of often used standard parts. This saves time because you don't have to draw the parts out each time you use them, where you used to have to do that with manual drawings. It also reduces errors in drawings as well.
Drawing correction - Drawing correction and modification would be automated features in CAD software that automatically fix or alert the user to many kinds of common errors in drawings. They may draw angles that can't be machined, or make a part that has an undercut that can't be molded, or create impossible geometries. Visual representation as well as correction algorithms fix problems that may not have been caught in manual drawings. This saves time and increases productivity; however, the user still must be careful to make drawings accurate.
Software customization - I believe this refers to the ability of most CAD software packages to customize the user interface. This allows the user to have access to the features he uses most while disregarding little-used commands. Some people who do particular kinds of drafting, like with sheet metal for instance, may use commands that other people designing plastic parts would not. The ability to customize the interface allows users to quickly produce the drawings they need.
Drawing sharing - One of the most important features of CAD is the ability to electronically share your drawings. This allows designers and manufacturers to work much more efficiently because the data is transferred accurately. With version control software, newer drawings can replace older ones and make sure that all the drawings are up to date.
Electronic file transfer - This just means that the drawings can be emailed back and forth as electronic data files instead of bulky paper documents. It's more concise. It really falls under the last benefit.
As you can see, creating a 3D drawing and model of something on the computer has many advantages over doing it over and over again by hand.
The ability to see a design in a three-dimensional format is making the work of architects and engineers more efficient and accurate. Online education is available for students that want to enter a career as a drafter. Several training options are available in computer aided drafting from online accredited schools and colleges.
Becoming a technical expert is possible when students enter an educational program in computer aided drafting. Associate's, bachelor's, and master's degree programs make up the main options students can choose from. Several schools also offer certificate programs. Professionals draft illustrations and then deliver them to be used by construction companies and production organizations.
