Benefits of CAD Drawings Services Dimensionicad

Computer Aided Design or CAD is one of the most important techniques used for creating precise designs. CAD drawing services include the process of designing and drafting the diagrams digitally. CAD drawings India provide the user with several different input tools so as to streamline drafting, documentation and manufacturing processes. These services are used in the fields of architecture, mechanical and civil engineering. With the help of CAD drawing services, architectural projects can be made accurately that enable engineers and architects to complete the work within the specified time-frame.

Paper to CAD conversion marks the beginning of various steps undertaken by professionals rendering CAD drawing services. Using traditional drafting procedures, professionals manually draw the designs which are later converted using the automatic conversion into the digital formats such as JPEG. This digital conversion of manually drawn designs can be done by using raster to vector conversion software, Microstation, Revit and Tekla software. There are several traditional software like SolidWorks, ArchiCAD and StaddPro are also used while rendering these services. These software enable the user to ensure the accuracy and finesse of the process.

With the conversion of paper-based drawings into the electronic formats, CAD drawing services offer varied advantages to the firms. As conversion is stored into electronic formats, these can be edited with convenience whenever required. There was no such ease in the traditional method, as large volume of space was required to store the papers. In case of editing the designs, either whole design has to be erased and redrawn or fresh piece is needed. Unlike that CAD drawings India can edit the design within few minutes using simple and easy to use tools. Revision, reviewing and delivery of the designs can also be done faster. Creating straight lines using a ruler is a hassle however same can be done precisely using this service.

CAD drawings India have many other benefits as the designs and documents can be shared easily. The digital format is easy to store at a common database that can be accessed by every authorised person. This also enables every person to have a complete knowledge about the each step of the project and its development. These digital files are also easy to be emailed to all the concerned parties involved.

The software used for CAD drawing services can be installed in any system that means system requirement is minimum. With the use of advanced tools of the software, involved professionals can also create the intricate designs conveniently. There are several other benefits of CAD drawings India services that include less miscellaneous cost, short time period, less errors and increased accuracy.

There are several companies engaged in outsourcing CAD services. These companies present designs in both 2D and 3D platforms as they provide better and superior visualisation. This visualisation gives an appropriate picture of the project which helps the organisation in developing the exact requirement of the clients. CAD drawings India from a reliable and credible firm aid in commissioning projects using minimum resources within the minimum time period.

how do I convert a cad drawing from architec to engineer scale?

I received a drawing from a contractor and its in architec scale ,I need to use it in engineer scale .I have autocad2005

Try typing the command "UNITS". This should bring up a dialog box, then change the Type from Architectural to Engineering. That should do the trick if I properly understood your question.

Use of CAD Drawings in Steel Fabrication and Erection Process

With the advent of digital media and the internet, electronic copies of steel design drawings are becoming easily available to the steel fabricator. When CAD design files and drawings are provided to the fabricator, they often may include other information like architectural backgrounds, structural member specifications and some references to contract documents. This additional information should be removed when creating steel shop and erection drawings to avoid possible confusion.

The fabricator shall neither use nor reproduce any portion of the CAD drawings without written permission of the Engineer of Record (EOR). The use of CAD design files and drawings shall not in any way evade the fabricator’s responsibility for proper checking and coordination of details, dimensions, component sizes and material quantities as required to facilitate the preparation of shop drawings.

Approval of the shop and erection drawings shall constitute the following:
# Confirmation that the fabricator has correctly interpreted the CAD design drawings in the preparation for submittals
# Confirmation that the EOR has reviewed and approved the steel connection details shown on the shop drawings and submitted in accordance with industry standards

Such approval shall not relieve the fabricator of the responsibility for either the precision of the detailed steel dimensions in the shop drawings or the general fit-up of structure members that are to be assembled in the field. Design modifications are often requested by the erector to facilitate proper erection of the structural steel frame. When this is the case, the erector should inform the fabricator well before preparation of shop drawings so that the fabricator may refer the erector’s request to the EOR for resolution.

CAD Drawings As Cornerstone of 3D Models

You do not always have to start from scratch to build your structures in your 3D Application. Someone else in your office may have already done the work for you in a CAD program; all you have to do is import it.

You will learn some of the issues to be concerned with when modeling from CAD files is a part of your repertoire. Take the time to analyze your office procedures and involve the entire staff in an open discussion on how you might best adapt current practice with new methods that will enhance the transfer from CAD to your favorite 3D Application and back.

Every office will have different methods and there is no right or wrong way, use proper CAD methods. One of the most important aspects of insuring the best possible result from the exchange of data between your favorite 3D Application and AutoCAD is proper training of CAD operators.

The age-old saying "Garbage in, garbage out" has never been truer.

The following are some issues to pay close attention to:

Proper use of Osnaps

Layer management

Block management

Facetres and Viewres system variables

If architecture is your profession, you must take the time to analyze your offices' working methods. The following are some issues that you will need to address:

Define management and modeler/render's expectations of the 3D process.

Determine how story boarding is integrated into the design process.

Determine if MAX is to be used as a conceptual study tool, a project marketing tool, or a combination of the two.

If your office uses CAD, calculate the level of data you need to exchange between the MAX and the CAD program.

Determine the level of output quality you require; for example, the level of detail needed in the models for high-resolution still images or conceptual low-resolution animation.

Auto Cad Drawing Sending Strategies

A few companies even use specially designed Webbased services, such as Autodesk's Buzzsaw, as a repository for project drawings from all the companies working on a particular project. Whether you're switch over drawings in order to reuse CAD objects or simply to create hardcopy plots of someone else's drawings, you require to be comfortable sending and receiving drawings electronically. Sending and receiving DWG files doesn't differ much from sending and receiving other kinds of files, except for the following:DWG files tend to be bigger than word processing documents and spreadsheets. Therefore, you may need to invest in a faster Internet connection.

You can easily forget to include all the dependent files. It's often not totally obvious how to plot what you receive. Whenever you send DWG files jointly, follow the Golden Exchange Rule: "Send files unto others as you would have them sent unto you." That means sending all the dependent files along with the main DWG files, sending plotting support files and counting a description of what you're sending. And ask the receiver to try opening the drawings you send them right away, so you both have more time to respond if there's some problem. Many people naively assume that an AutoCAD drawing is always contained in a single DWG file, but that's often not the case.

Each drawing file created in AutoCAD can contain references to other kinds of files. Thus, before you start exchanging drawings via e-mail or FTP, you need a procedure for assembling the drawings with all their dependent files. As you can see from the table, the consequences of not including a custom font aren't that dire: The recipient still will see your text, but the font will be different. Of course, the new font may look odd or reason text spacing problems within the drawing. If, on the other hand, you not remember to send xrefs or raster graphics that are attached to your main drawing, the objects contained on those attached files just will be gone when the recipient opens your drawing.  For more info, visit -

What would be a good cad drawing program to learn with?

i would prefer a basic free program to learn 2D CAD

Definitely AutoCAD. You can get the free trial at the AutoDesk website and it's the FULL functioning version of the software. The trial lasts for 30 days. Before or after you try AutoCAD, you can give this program a shot:

I haven't really used any CAD software besides AutoCAD, so I can't really review any for you, but that one looks decent.

Hey Ryan, Anim8tor looks cool, but what kind of CAD capabilities does it have? It looks like a dedicated 3D modeling software.
