Graphic Design, computer programs/software?
I am very interested in graphic design and see it as one of my passions, to further this, I plan to learn how to use some photoshop/graphic design programs. though im not quite sure what to program to buy first, just for starters in learning how to use these softwares?
What first?
Professional Graphic designers (FOR PRINT WORK) use primarily these 3 programs: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. You can buy these in a bundle (called Adobe CS3). Its expensive, close to $1,000. You can probably get student rates, which is half the price.
If you can master these 3 programs, you will be in good shape as far as producing the work. You would just need to work on your design sensibility!
If you want to design for the web, you should learn photoshop, dreamweaver and flash (these 2 programs also come in the Adobe CS3 bundle).
