How to scale on Autocad lt 2002?

IM using Autocad LT 2002. I have to use a scale of 3/4"=1", how do you do that? Also im drawing it on a 8.5" x 11" if it helps. Also what shuold my X, and Y spacing be?

You always want to draw your actual object in 1=1. Then when you go to plot it, under plot scale, you can select 1"=3/4". This way, you don't have to calculate the length of every line you draw. Instead, the computer will change everything for you. You can also create a viewport in paperspace (layout tab), and set the vpscale to 0.75 or 1=3/4. You don't need to do that for simple drawings, but its a good thing to learn how to do, so if you want to, just ask.
