Engineering Drawing Tools

how do i get a nine sided figure within any given circle the sides have to be equal?

Is it possible with basic tools ie compass, rule/ set square and a pencil to draw a nine sided shape inside any given circle.
This is my engineering homework for this comming thursday and a large bar of peanut slab is the prize can any one help
