engineering drawings?
i have some engineering plans for a small steam engine. there is a symbol that i have not seen before. it is # and is followed by a dimension, eg #43, #2-56. it is shown usually for drilled or drilled and tapped holes. can someone please tell me what it means.
"#" is shorthand for "number." A number 43 drill. a number 2-56 tap.
