Best software to use for 3D walk-throughs of houses?
What is the best software to use to create a 3D walkthrough of a house, the house has been drawn up in CAD
My opinion: Try Stitcher (from Autodesk), you just take a bunch of photos with a regular camera (or 360/panoramic if you have one) and then the application will place them in a 3D environment and create what we call a 3D VR or QT (for quicktime) VR. This is a video that the user can manipulate and turn around to watch everywhere. The application is quite small, kinda cheap (money wise) and really easy to use. But it also have advanced features such as crowd control (getting people out of your VRs!)...It basically does the same thing than Google street as a result. It's in my opinion way less time consuming than making the actual model for a house...unless of course that house doesn't exist yet!
