Software For Engineering Drawing

Is a computer aided drafting class good for software engineering?

I took CAD 1 and just signed up for CAD2. I just remembered that software engineering doesn't have much to do with drawing and stuff. I just thought that colleges would look at my computer clases and stuff if im goin to their colege for computer science and software engineering. Will CAD2 look good for college or is it just something that doesn't matter. Next year when i take cad 2 ill be a sophmore so i have plenty of time to take other computer classes. Is that gonna be good or a waste?

You definatley won't use any CAD for software engineering or computer science. Obviously a skill is rarely a bad thing to have, but it would almost certainly never be applied. The advantage of knowing how to do it is perhaps to give you an overview of some of the other processes that will be going into the same product you are working on.

Try and learn as much as you can about different programming languages and codes (C++, Matlab) and this should stand you well in software/computer courses.
