The very 1st thing i would suggest is get a flat screen monitor you can do what you are wanting with a CRT but a flat screen is gonna have a better image quality. The other looks fine to me. Of course my personal preference is a large hard drive I would prefer something like maybe a 1 or 2 TB hard drive but again this is my preference. as far of software I would suggest getting Adobe Photo Shop or a similar program Paint and draw are kind of basic and you will find you can not do nowhere near enough with those programs
