Where can good free technical drawing software?

I want to create tecnical illustrations in 3d, does anybody know which is a good and easy package to use, and if anything can be downloaded for free?

If your looking for 3D models and animation I'd use Blender or Anim8or. Its free and available for more than one platform.

If your only looking to render a 3D static image with vectors. I'd use Google's sketchup, or vector engineer quick tools.
