Why doesn't double clicking work any more to edit text & attributes in Autocad2010?
I haven't changed any settings on my computer but all of a sudden I can't double click to edit text, or attributes. Also using the delete key to erase selected Items seems to have stopped being an option. Using cad for 10 years and this is a new one for me
is there a system variable or something that Im missing here??
That's the first thing I thought of aswell Beatle - unfortunatly everthing is the way I left it. Checked the command userface and the doubleclicking is set for the editor to pop up yet when I double click it just doesn't want to
Well I'm using Autocad 2008 but should be able to help you anyway.
It doesn't make sense that these would stop working without changing settings unless someone sabotaged your computer but check this setting for double-click editing.
Go to the "Tools" drop down menu at top of screen.
Pick "Options"
Pick "User preferences" tab
Under "Windows standard behavior" make sure double click editing is checked and pick "apply" at bottom and then "ok".
I'm stumped though on why "delete" doesn't work.
Maybe try rebooting computer and then restart Autocad.
(also check to make sure your keyboard is plugged all the way in before rebooting)
Oh well, sorry I couldn't help you.
